About ILUVLawrence.com
ILUVLawrence.com is a hobby project created by Frank Wiles to chronicle all of the weird and wacky reasons citizens of Lawrence, KS love the town they live in.
Frank noticed a bunch of his friends posting on Twitter and Facebook interesting or funny things, often ending them with "Gotta love Lawrence!". He thought it would be fun to catalog all of these for those of us that constantly have to explain why we're prefectly happy living in a fly over state.
Submissions
You can submit two types of entries, LUVs and OHs.
LUVs are posts that you would end in "I Luv Lawrence" and OHs stands for "Overheard" where you can enter funny bits of conversation you have overheard here in beautiful Lawrence.
Technology
www.iluvlawrence.com is built using the Django web development framework, which incidentally was created right here in Lawrence. The database in use is PostgreSQL.
